Stardraw Cloud

The Projects Module is the heart of Stardraw Cloud applications and it contains a lot; everything you need, in fact, to configure and deliver a simple yet advanced project design application. It includes:

• The Admin interface, where you set up your custom Application and the data it handles.
• The Projects interface, where your users create and access their Projects.
• The Snapshots interface, where users access the locked and timestamped copies of Projects which might be binding e.g. for Quotations or Orders.
• Reporting, which allows you to create powerful Report templates; Reports are the output of your custom application.

The Admin Interface

This is the suite of functionality that allows you to configure and manage your custom application, the data it handles, and the users of the application and the data that they generate.

The Admin Interface comprises several discrete parts, giving you the power to configure and manage everything in your custom application.

Settings

A Setting is the name for any data field in your custom application and this section of the Admin Interface allows you to configure:

• The Application: e.g. its Name and Description, Logo, Icon, Domain(s) and Units of Measurement
• Reports: create any Setting you need specifically for your Reports and set their default values.
• User: create any Setting you want to appear as part of a User's profile.
• Products: create any Setting you want for the Products in your custom application.
• Project: create any Setting that will identify or characterize a Project.
• View: create any Setting that is relevant to a view (or Layout)

Files

Use the Files page to upload and manage files to be used by the custom application e.g. images that will be the Logo and Icon for the application.

Products

The Products page allows you to create and manage the Products to be used in your custom application. Here you can set the value for any Product Settings and download/upload a products spreadsheet which makes it even easier to manage your Products and their Settings.

Reports

The Reports page allows you to create and manage the Report templates for your custom application.

• Create, copy and delete Report templates.
• Assign values for any Report Settings.
• Determine who can see each Report (i.e. Admin or User).
• Choose whether a Report is available to the applcation (Published).
• Open any Report template for editing in the Report Designer.

Roles

Create Roles and assign them to Users to permit conditional functionality in Reports.

Lists

Settings can be bound to a List, allowing selection from a predetermined list of values e.g. 'Country' or 'Currency'. The Lists interface allows you to manage the Lists used for your Settings.

Emails

An administrative interface for the emails that can be sent to Users on the basis of specific events e.g. when a new User registers an account, or when a Reset Password request is received. The interface includes a full wysiwyg text editor for creating and editing HTML email Body text which also allows for Substitution fields so that the email can contain data from your custom application, e.g. "User Name", "Application Logo" etc.

Logs

Everything in your custom application is logged so you can see who has done what, to what, when.

Translation

Every item of text that is displayed in your custom application can be changed to use a different term, or a different language.

Projects

In the Admin interface, the Projects page allows you to inspect all the details of all of the Projects created by the users of your custom application, open any Project, and delete any Project if so desired.

Snapshots

In the Admin interface, the Snapshots page allows you to inspect all the details of all of the Snapshots created by the users of your custom application, open any Snapshot, and delete any Snapshot if so desired.

Users

The Users interface allows you to see all the details of users of your custom application, assign one or more Roles to a User, and also to edit any Settings for that User and view that User's Projects.
