Configuring Projects

You configure the Settings associated with Projects via the Admin Portal. These Settings determine the data you choose to collect for each Project.

For example, you could collect the following information for each Project:

• Client Information, e.g. Name, Email Address, Address, Phone Number, Account Number, etc.
• Project Information, e.g. Name, Number, Description, Start Date, Notes, etc.
• Team Information, e.g. Project Manager, Project Engineer, etc.
• Financial Information, e.g. Billing Method, Billing Type, Payment Method, Discount, etc.
• Any other data you want.

You decide what information is important to you and your Stardraw Cloud application will do the rest.

Working with Projects

Your users will create Projects and populate them with Products, either in the optional Project view, or in a graphical view i.e. the Layout Module, which allows users to position the products in the project relative to each other, to design a custom product or system.

The Projects Interface

The Projects interface allows a user to see all their Projects, sort and filter them, delete and copy them, and open any project. The interface also shows any projects to which the user has been invited, whether with read-only or read/write access.

The Project Interface

When a project is opened you see the Project interface which gives access to:

• Settings Interface: set values for whatever Settings you have defined for Projects.
• Reports Interface: see the reports available to the project, populated with the project's data.
• Users Interface: see and manage the users authorized to access the current project, with read-only or read/write privlege.
• Products Interface: see all products available to the Project, add/remove products from the Project and see a list of all products currently in the project.
• Drawings Interface: create, open, copy or delete drawings in the project (requires Layout Module)
